Tool String

Blind Box

The Blind Box is a one-piece wireline tool made from solid bar alloy steel that has a fishingneck and threads on one end to facilitate attachment to the wireline string and a flat bottom on the other end for delivering blows. The Blind Box is actually used as a downhole “hammer,” striking objects or debris with jarring force.

Specifications

Diamond Broach

The Broaching Tool is a wireline service tool designed to remove excess cement, salt, barium, or other deposits that have accumulated on the tubing wall, restricting the I.D. and flow area.

Paddle Broach

Pineapple Broach

The Pineapple Broach is used to cut burrs in the tubing I.D. caused by perforation, rust, bent tubing, etc.

Tubular Jars

The Tubular Jar, through wireline manipulation, can be used to provide an upward or downward impact. The intensity of the jarring impact depends on the weight of the wireline stem above the jar, the stroke length of the jar, and the density of the well fluid. The perforated body of the Tubular Jar allows fluid bypass, reducing the effects of the well fluid density on the jarring impact.
